Well Hello Belly.

Hello again everyone! Sorry it has been a little bit since I updated the blog. It has been a little bit busy around here! Baby Oshier is doing very well and growing fast. Lil Oshe is measuring about 9 inches from head to rump. I am at 24 weeks so Lil Oshe can now hear very well, is practicing breathing and I think playing soccer... Or at least that what it feels like. My mom has now taken to talking to my belly all the time and has her hand glued to it so she can feel the baby moving. I will be going in for my next check up next week but will not be getting any more ultra sounds until right before the baby is born. As most of you already know from the last check up we are pretty sure the sex of Lil Oshier but given the baby's position are not 100% sure. Hopefully they were right otherwise my baby is going to have some identity issues in the beginning.
This picture is of mom and I on little hike enjoying the warm weather here. It was in the 40's yesterday! As you can see the belly is growing faster now. As always I hope all is well with you and yours.

The Belly Keeps Growing and BABY SHOWER!!!

So the bump keeps growing despite me losing weight!! I can feel baby bumping and moving around a little bit which is pretty incredible. The movement feels like a butterfly fluttering about. It is a trip! I had to buy my first pair of maternity pants today which was a little hard for me. :)
THE IMPORTANT STUFF NOW! BABY OSHIER SHOWER!!!!
Okay all! I am posting this in the beginning of January to allow adequate time for all who plan on attending. The date is going to be the 17th of April in Park City. I will nail down a more specific time and all the rest of the info within the next month and a half. Main thing is the date will be the 17th. The best airport to fly into will be Salt Lake City. Luckily this is a huge airport so the airfares should be fairly reasonable. I know this is a a trip for most of you and totally understand if it is not possible to make. I just wanted to give enough time to prepare and start getting a head count! Please keep me informed of who is planning on attending so I can make the proper arrangements. I am so excited to see everyone!!! Much love from Baby and I

Holiday time!!!

I hope this finds everyone enjoying the afterglow of a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Baby and I sure enjoyed our time with the family being in town. My dad Scott and Step-Mom Colleen came in on Christmas Eve just in time to pick up my brother Caleb from the airport. My mom, dad, Colleen, Caleb and I all had a very nice Christmas Eve with amazing food, good music and lots of laughter. We woke up the next morning to a traditional Oshier breakfast of Huevos Rancheros. It was a tradition from my Grandma and Grandpa Oshier we are glad to keep going. Baby recieved his/her first presents including onsiesand recieving blankets from Moma ( I think this is what we decided my mom is going to be called), pacifier with buck teeth from Kara, Pregnancy t-shirt stating" You touchey I bitey" also from Kara, A bowl made by my grandfather from Grandma and Grandpa (Daddy and Step-mom), and the cutest little cowboy boots from great Auntie Lala. The picture of it all is below. The picture next to the Christmas Tree is from left to right; Caleb, baby and I, Colleen, Daddy, Jeff and my mom. We had an amazing dinner made by my dad and Colleen Christmas night and got together for a little dinner party with good friends the day after. The holiday passed far too fast but I look forward to having all of us together again soon. New years was very low key because I have had a nasty cold which I am STILL recovering from. Though the year may have started out with a cold I look forward to all the joy's this year will be bringing me and my family. Much love to all and many blessings in the New Year!

Baby's first picture!!!

Well, my 4 month check up went very well! I was able to hear the heart beat again which is one of the most amazing things in the world. I was also able to see my lil one for the first time!! We tried getting baby to move in a better direction so we could possibly see the sex but baby wasn't having any of it. Baby was moving all over the place being very active though. The views that you are seeing are from the top of the head. The one on the left is the top of the baby's head and the fist in front. Baby was sucking it's thumb. The second one is from the top and the fist again along with the whole right arm of the baby. So overall mommy and baby are doing very well. Baby is fully formed and perfect with a very strong heart beat. I lost about 7lbs in the month between check ups but have been reassured the weight will be coming back shortly. I've also been reassured that my second trimester I should start feeling better and actually want to eat again. :) Hopefully that kicks into full force soon. The next appointment is on the 20th so I will let post new pictures then! Hope all is well and this finds everyone smiling.
